Assistant/Associate Professor of Clinical Psychiatry

The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Illinois at Chicago is seeking several academic psychiatrists for immediately available clinician-educator positions, academic rank commensurate with experience in our Mood and Anxiety Disorders and Women’s Mental Health Programs.  These are clinician educator positions with both outpatient and inpatient duties.  The positions will include teaching and supervision of residents, medical students and other trainees, in both inpatient and outpatient settings and video supervision of resident psychotherapy patients.  The successful candidate will join a productive multi-disciplinary team of clinicians and researchers in the Mood and Anxiety program or the Women’s Mental Health program with ample opportunities for collaboration.  The candidate must be a Doctor of Medicine and have completed an ACGME (Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education) accredited residency in psychiatry. The candidate must possess or be eligible for an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Illinois and an unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration license, and must be Board-certified or board eligible in Psychiatry.   Experience and interest in teaching and supervising medical students, residents and fellows is necessary.  We are one of the largest Psychiatry departments in the Midwest, with 125 faculty, a strong General Psychiatry Residency Training Program and several fellowships, including Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Addictions, Neuropsychiatry and Women’s Mental Health fellowships.  Our Department is nationally known for research in anxiety disorders and depression, autism, psychosis, late life depression, molecular mechanism in addictions, mental health services research, women’s mental health and other areas.  We provide a wide variety of inpatient and outpatient treatments including ECT and rTMS as well as individual CBT and group therapy.   Applicants must apply online at http://jobs.uic.edu and reference Job ID #87627and submit a CV, cover letter and three letters of recommendation by December 15, 2017.  The application review process will start immediately and will continue until the positions are filled.
