As a Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist, you’ll be part of an incredible team of people leading our new facility: the Southwest Autism Center of Excellence (SACE) in sunny Phoenix, Arizona!

As a Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist at the SACE program, you’ll join our mission to use a specialized whole-health capacity focus on the physical and behavioral health of children, families and adults living with or at risk of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). You focus and responsibilities will be:

·         Providing general psychiatric services – to ensure that these follow licensing requirements (as defined in the ADBHS Covered Services Guide)

·         Maintaining productivity goals and chart management with excellent documentation

·         Collaborating with Program Director in delivering program specific services.

o    You’ll work directly with the Chief Medical Officer and/or Medical Director for all clinical issues and to the Program Director for all administrative issues.

·         Providing opportunities for clinical case staffing to OP site staff as needed

·         Focusing on the medical and psychiatric functions in an outpatient clinical setting

o    This includes engagement, assessments, differential diagnosis, treatment planning, medication management, family meetings, supportive psychotherapy, patient education, risk assessment, and discharge planning.

We’d love to share more about this opportunity with you if you:

·         Graduated from an accredited medical school with a degree of Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy.

·         Are Board Certified/Board Eligible in Psychiatry. Must be expected to obtain Board Certification within 3 years of hire date.

·         Have completed of an approved Child/Adolescent fellowship.

·         Possess a current DEA certificate and medical license to practice medicine in the State of Arizona (or eligibility to obtain an AZ license).

·         Can spend time with and treat children (all ages).

·         Demonstrate experience in assessment, planning and utilization of psychotropic medications in accordance with State and Federal regulations and best practices.
