The Psychiatry Department at Kern Medical Center and Kern County Mental Health Department are recruiting an additional adult, child and adolescent and geriatric psychiatrist to join the expanding academic programs located in Bakersfield CA, 90 miles north of Los Angeles.
The UCLA Kern Psychiatry Residency Program was awarded a 5-year continued full accreditation, and the Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Program also received 5 year continued full accreditation. The program is planning to develop a Geriatric Psychiatry Fellowship Program and an Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship Program.
Candidates must be board certified and be licensed to practice in California. Openings include Consultation/Liaison Service, Emergency, Inpatient and Outpatient Services. Candidates will be responsible for direct supervision of psychiatry residents, medical students and fellows in UCLA-Kern Psychiatry Residency programs. Candidates must qualify for academic appointments to the Psychiatry & Biobehavioral Sciences Department, David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
