The Mental Health Service Line at the Central Arkansas Veterans Health System is rapidly expanding and positions are available for adult psychiatrists in both inpatient and outpatient as well as addiction psychiatry. The inpatient position would be on the acute admissions unit and would include working with medical students and psychiatric residents. Outpatient positions are available in either the mental health clinic or in a newly developed role in primary care clinics. The addiction psychiatry position could include overseeing the outpatient medical detox and buprenorphine programs. Faculty appointments with the College of Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences are expected. Due to our strong connection to the medical school, any position could include working with medical students and residents if desired.
