Overcoming Challenges Associated With TBI, Intellectual Disability, and Developmental Disability

Your patient walks in with signs of traumatic injury (TBI), or intellectual or developmental disability. What special considerations are necessary in assessing and treating this patient?

We have invited Dr Alya Reeve, Professor of Psychiatry, Neurology, and Pediatrics at the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, to speak on this topic. Dr Reeve shares additional insights during her presentation, “Meeting the Challenges of Treating People with TBI or ID/DD: Strategies for Assessment, Management, and Psychopharmacology” at the 2012 US Psychiatric and Mental Health Congress in San Diego.
