MEDICAL DIRECTORSHIP POSITION AVAILABLE AT MARLBOROUGH HOSPITAL, MEMBER HOSPITAL OF UMASS MEMORIAL HEALTH CARE
Marlborough Hospital, in conjunction with The Department of Psychiatry at UMass Memorial Health Care, is actively seeking a full time Medical Director for its Psychiatric Services Behavioral Health Program. The Medical Director will assume clinical, administrative and managerial responsibility for a 22-bed, adult inpatient psychiatric unit. The Director will provide leadership and staff support regarding general patient care. He/She will maintain a case load of up to 9 to 10 inpatients while also engaging in psychiatric assessments, daily treatment team meetings, discharge planning and family meetings/communications. The ideal candidate will posses strong clinical abilities, well developed administrative/managerial skills, and a high level of familiarity with quality assurance measures and regulatory compliance including MA DMH and The Joint Commission. The chosen candidate will receive a competitive compensation/benefits package. An academic appointment at UMass, commensurate with education and experience, is also available.
Marlborough Hospital is a 79-bed acute care community hospital that offers a broad array of inpatient and outpatient medical, surgical, and ancillary services. The Hospital offers comprehensive psychiatric services including inpatient care, short term stabilization and partial hospitalization.
