Medical Director and Psychiatrists, Alcohol(Drug information on alcohol) and Drug Abuse Division

McLean Hospital invites applications for Psychiatrist positions.  We seek to recruit board eligible/certified psychiatrists to work in the residential treatment component of the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Treatment Program. We are seeking a full-time Director of the McLean Center at Fernside located in a scenic, quintessential New England setting in Princteon, MA.  Fernside is an 8-bed private pay 30-day residential treatment facility for patients with co-occurring substance abuse and psychiatric disorders. We also seek a part-time Medical Director for our step-down 90-day transitional residential treatment program,The McLean Center at the Brook, located just off the main McLean Hospital campus, which is a private pay 8-bed extended residential treatment program for patients in early recovery from substance use disorders and co-occurring psychiatric disorders. We also seek a part-to-full-time psychiatrist for the McLean Center at Naukeag, a 21-bed facility located in Ashburnham, MA that provides insurance-based acute residential treatment and partial hospital services for patients with substance use disorders and co-occurring psychiatric disorders. These programs are designed to treat substance dependent and dually diagnosed patients in an attractive venue.  Part-time positions can be expanded to 1.00 FTE through additional duties if desired. Responsibilities include the provision of direct clinical services to patients and overseeing multidisciplinary clinical teams, participation in the respective program’s clinical development, outcomes measurement, quality improvement efforts, and educational activities. Salary and recruitment package in accordance with Hospital policy and Harvard Medical School appointment at the academic rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor will be commensurate with HMS appointment criteria.

Applicants must have an M.D., completed residency training in psychiatry in an ACGME approved program, and full medical license in the Commonwealth of MA.  The candidate should have knowledge and experience in addiction psychiatry.  Qualified women and minority candidates are encouraged to apply.
