Required Qualifications: MD. Board Eligible/Board Certified in Adult Psychiatry. Eligible for a New York State License. Clinical experience in a Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program or other emergency psychiatric setting. Provide cross-coverage of evening, night, and weekends shifts.
Responsibilities & Requirements: Experienced clinician is needed as an Attending Psychiatrist and Director of our Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP). Shifts totaling 40 hours/week with cross coverage as necessary. Clinician is responsible for the administrative oversight of CPEP in collaboration with nursing leadership as well as psychiatric evaluation and management of patients in CPEP/ED of University Hospital. Teaching and supervision of medical students and residents.
Special Notes: This is a non-tenure track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible. To qualify for a senior faculty appointment, the candidate must meet the criteria established by the School of Medicine (School of Medicine's Criteria for Appointment, Promotion and Tenure). **Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
