rushed through a vein,
lidocaine(Drug information on lidocaine) to scalp,
lattice helmet
screwed to skull,
drill's buzz and vibration,
a hole like a wishing well.

Then a probe
to the heart
of your past,
electrons down a wire,
and you're singing Crazy,
wind in your hair,
salt spray in your nostrils,
riding top down,
Willie Nelson on the radio.

Then the current
to burn your scar,
probe extraction,
helmet unscrewed,
a Gelfoam plug,
everything you remember
sealed tight,
top up, cruising.
