Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM)

The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), often referred to as the "bible" of diagnostic criteria for clinicians, courts, prisons, insurance companies, drug companies, and the agencies that regulate drugs, is currently in its 4th edition (DSM-IV, 1994). DSM-V is under development, with a planned publication date of May 2012.


 

Psychiatric Times has compiled resources for the current edition, DSM-IV, as well as updates and articles on the upcoming DSM-V.
