The University of Connecticut Health Center and School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry, Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry seeks to hire a full-time child psychiatrist for a new position in forensic child and adolescent psychiatry. This position will be devoted to supporting the Connecticut Juvenile Court and Court Support Services Division around consultation/evaluation questions pertaining to the interface between psychiatry and juvenile justice and of importance to the State of Connecticut. This position is supported through funding from the Connecticut Court Support Services Division (CSSD) to the Department of Psychiatry, Division of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, and Center for High Risk Behaviors in Children and Adolescents. The successful applicant will be board certified or board eligible in adult psychiatry and in child and adolescent psychiatry, with ACGME approved added qualifications in forensic psychiatry. Academic rank is open depending on experience and qualifications. Additional teaching, supervision, clinical, and on-call responsibilities as specified. Experience in curriculum development a plus. The University of Connecticut School of Medicine follows the American Association of Medical College guidelines for faculty compensation.
