Why is it that NPD is always described as the arrogant, grandiose, entitled, egocentric, un-empathic individual, when, in daily psychiatric/psychotherapy practice, the vulnerable narcissist presents in so many different 'shapes and sizes' and permeates several PD presentations? It is time we took another close look at the many different presentations of narcissism and not just the one I have described. Could the next DSM do likewise?
Thank you for your presentation - not much is said about NPD.
