What constitutes an eating disorder and what range of eating behaviors do clinicians and family members look for in minor to extreme cases? Drs Evelyn Attia and Allegra Broft will provide an overview of eating disorders, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge eating disorder. They will discuss symptoms, diagnostic criteria, and medical complications of eating disorders.
Dr Attia is Professor of Psychiatry and Director of the Center for Eating Disorders at the New York State Psychiatric Institute/Columbia University Medical Center and Weill Cornell Medical Center/NewYork- Presbyterian Hospital. Dr Broft is Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, Columbia Center for Eating Disorders, New York State Psychiatric Institute.
