Dr Michael Thase touches on an APA presentation about newer applications of cognitive therapy for disorders such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.

Michael Thase, MD, of the University of Pennsylvania, Perelman School of Medicine, returns once again to the Annual Meeting of the American Psychiatric Association. He and his colleagues will be presenting a course on cognitive behavior therapy for severe mental illness. The focus will be on newer applications of cognitive therapy for disorders such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.

He and his colleagues are also involved in a miniworkshop that will focus on computer-assisted applications of cognitive behavioral therapy that range from bibliotherapy to computer-assisted models of psychotherapy.
