Patients increasingly ask about cannabis and whether it can be useful for sleep, PTSD, pain, and even dementia. In this video, Timothy W. Fong, MD gives a brief overview on emerging issues in cannabis. On Monday, May 3, Dr Fong and colleagues will speak at this year’s APA meeting in a presentation titled “Facing the Challenge of Cannabis Legalization: Psychiatry’s Role.” (register for access)

Dr Fong is Professor of Psychiatry & Director, UCLA, and Co-Director of UCLA’s Gambling Studies. The presentation is in collaboration with Laurence Westreich, MD; Kevin Allen Sevarino, MD; and Frances Rudnick Levin, MD.
