Advances in Cultural Psychiatry

Dr Alarcón shares his thoughts on cultural psychiatry and its growing prominence in the mental health field.

He also also speaks on the world transcendance of the APA Annual Meeting, and provides a comprehensive view of the variety of fields and sub-fields of interest in today’s psychiatry. They include clinical advances, the global mental health phenomena, progress in international research, and advances and debates on psychiatric diagnosis.

Dr Alarcón is Emeritus Professor and Consultant in the department of psychiatry and psychology at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota, and an Editorial Board member of Psychiatric Times.
