Exercise may have important mental health benefits. In this Mental Health Minute, Adel B. Korkor, MD, discusses the science behind exercise’s efficacy, his own struggles with anxiety , and how it all inspired him to start a nonprofit devoted to achieving mental wellbeing through physical activity.

Dr. Korkor is a retired physician and founder of the nonprofit Five Fifty Five Run/Walk.
