About ABAP: The American Board of Adolescent Psychiatry (ABAP) exists to offer a route to certification for general psychiatrists interested in enhancing their confidence and skills in treating adolescents and young adults while not requiring formal fellowship training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

To date, The American Board of Adolescent Psychiatry has certified almost 800 psychiatrists.The American Board of Adolescent Psychiatry (ABAP) is a semi-autonomous body under the auspices of The American Society for Adolescent Psychiatry (ASAP). View ABAP Bylaws.
