Presenting Our September 2026 Theme: Depressive Disorders

According to the World Health Organization, an estimated 5.7% of adults have depression, with more women (6.9%) affected than men (4.6%).¹ They cite a lack of investment in mental health care, lack of trained health-care providers, and social stigma associated with mental disorders as barriers to effective care.
