What do we know about eating disorders and what are the next steps in treatments and research?

Drs Walsh and Steinglass will discuss a range of areas under investigation, including behavioral, neuropsychiatric, and neurobiological research. They will talk about current theories and novel ideas for future research in anorexia nervosa, which include studying habit formation and exposure response prevention.

Dr Walsh is Professor of Psychiatry and Director, Division of Clinical Therapeutics, New York State Psychiatric Institute. Dr Steinglass is Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, Columbia Center for Eating Disorders at the New York State Psychiatric Institute/Columbia University Medical Center.
