Dr Hatters Friedman serves as the Phillip Resnick Professor of Forensic Psychiatry at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. She is editor of Family Murder: Pathologies of Love and Hate, which was written by the Group for the Advancement of Psychiatry’s Committee on Psychiatry and the Law. She was awarded the 2020 Manfred S. Guttmacher Award by the American Psychiatric Association. She is a coeditor of Malpractice and Liability in Psychiatry.
Dr Gutheil is a professor of psychiatry and cofounder of the Program in Psychiatry and Law, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. He is the first professor of psychiatry in the history of Harvard Medical School to be board certified in both clinical and forensic psychiatry. An internationally known forensic psychiatrist and author of over 300 publications in the national and international clinical and forensic literature, Gutheil has served as a consulting or expert witness in more than 40 states.
The recipient of every major award in the forensic field and multiple teaching and writing awards, he is also the recipient of the 2000 A. Clifford Barger Lifetime Achievement in Mentoring Award, Harvard Medical School. Gutheil lives and works in the Boston area.
Dr Kosten is the Jay H. Waggoner Endowed Chair and cofounder at the Institute for Clinical and Translational Research at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He is also a professor of psychiatry, neuroscience, pharmacology, and immunology at Baylor College of Medicine.
Dr George is Professor of Psychiatry in the Temerty Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto, and a Clinician-Scientist at CAMH. He is also an editorial board member at Psychiatric Times, and co-principal editor of Neuropsychopharmacology (NPP), the Official Journal of the American College of Neuropsychopharmacology.
Dr Perman is clinical professor in the Department of Psychiatry and the Behavioral Sciences at the George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, DC, and a clinical professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Creighton University Medical School in Omaha, Nebraska.
